Flow of Energy in the Taiga
Food Chain:
Moose are Primary consumers in their food chain. They feed on producers such as grass, leaves, and bark. Bears and wolves are above the moose on the food chain. They are the tertiary and secondary consumers. The Taiga isn't an incredibly bio diverse biome. Below is a simple food chain containing the moose.

Energy Pyramid:
The flow of energy in the taiga is very simple. The moose falls near the bottom of the pyramid with the Primary Consumers.

Nutrient Cycling:
The water and carbon cycle play a major role in the life of a moose. The water cycle helps in the moose’s diet. Water not only gives hydration to the moose but precipitation takes good care of the food that a moose eats. The carbon cycle also plays a large role through cellular respiration and photosynthesis. Respiration and photosynthesis are both necessary for survival of vegetation. Respiration gives off carbon dioxide and photosynthesis uses it. This creates an ongoing cycle that takes care of a moose’s food supply.Even nitrogen helps the plants that a moose feeds on.
